I have been meaning to do this post for a while...Jen and I decided to take a girls' trip to Oregon to visit Chelsea, Jade, Peggy and Doug. I haven't done a trip with my sis since college; so, I was pretty excited. Unfortunately, we didn't take hardly any pictures while we were there. :( I think we just wanted to enjoy ourselves. We headed to Chelsea's house first, which is close to Portland. Jen and I thought the drive would be around 8 hours or so I think it ended up taking like 10 or more. :) We aren't used to Oregon speed limits which were 55 mph on the freeway in places. AGH!!!
Chelsea took us all over Portland to do my favorite thing SHOPPING! I LOVE no sales tax!!!! We also ate a lot of good food while we were in Oregon. We got sandwiches at a French bakery and had a picnic at a beautiful park. We also ate at a Greek restaurant, which was fantastic too.
A definite highlight of the trip was when Chelsea took us to Restoration Hardware, a furniture store, where she showed us the most beautiful, comfortable couch ever made. Chelsea referred to it as the "Brownie" couch (check out Jen's blog for a pic of the legendary couch). I honestly never wanted to get up from that couch, it was so comfy. The sales guy actually asked us, after about 30 minutes of sitting on the couch, "can I help you with anything?" It kind of reminded me of the movie French Kiss. The words were all there, but the meaning just wasn't. He didn't really want to help us he just wanted us to MOVE. :)
Chelsea was a fantastic host and sooo much fun to hang out with. We had a lot of good discussions/debates, during our stay, too. I loved hearing Chelsea's perspective and thought processes. And I was surprised by all that we had in common. I hope that she makes the trip to Cali, so we can return the favor. :)
On Sunday, we headed to Peggy and Doug's house. Peggy is such a lot of fun to be around. :) She just has this fantastic ability to make you feel good about yourself. She also gave me lots of needed advice for dealing with my munchkins. During our stay, she took us to the local Blueberry Farm and we were able to pick 40 lbs of blueberries. My dad is in absolute heaven cause he LOVES blueberries. We only have one bag left so I guess we will have to drive to Oregon and get some more. :) Thanks Peggy!!!!
I love the Grimmius Family and hope that we will see them all again soon!!!!!!

What a fun and exhausting trip!! We definitely have to go again and pick some blueberries! I've got some at my house that I am slowly eating up! I figured the one's at your house would be gone already! Nice self discipline dad! Thanks again Grimmius family for letting us crash at your homes!
Thanks for posting Kate! That picture turned out so cute. I wish I would have taken some of us doing things together. I was lazy! Or just having too much fun talking.
I loved having you guys here. That was a highlight of my summer for SURE! Love ya!
