Ryan caught Chase and I both looking at something intently. I have no idea what. :)
This horse was kind of feisty. She had her ears back the entire time. However, Ryan was still able to capture her beauty.
This picture reminds me of a scene from and old western movie. :)
There were a bunch of different talented bands/singers at Old Sacramento. This guy was actually fun to listen too. We definitely needed a break from the sun. So, we took refuge in the shade on a bunch of hay bales, they had set up. Chase and Tyler got ice cream cones courtesy of Grandma and Grandpa Fink.
Again, NO ONE can say "No" to Chase, so we each took turns carrying him around Old Sacramento.
Ryan's turn:
Kate's turn:The picture above is by far the funniest picture of the three because it shows just how difficult it is to have Chase on your shoulders. He likes to mess up your hair and cover your eyes with his hands. He will even strangle you from time to time. :)
And here is another fantastic shot by my extremely talented husband.
Ok, Ryan thinks that this next shot is istockphoto.com worthy. What do you all think? Please don't forget that I did all of the editing. hahaha. :) Yes, I am jealous I didn't take this picture. :)
Grandma Fink made sure both the boys got balloon swords(not animals). I wish we had gotten a picture of what happened next. Of course, Tyler and Chase had to sword fight. Chase didn't stop with hitting just Tyler. He started hitting perfect strangers. :)
I finally took the camera away from Ryan and, of course, took a picture of food. I don't like candy apples but these look absolutely yummy.

That looks like it was so much fun! I wish I would have known about it. Anytime I can see horses I am there...you know me. And I must say you always have the best pictures on your blog...they always look so professional! GO Ryan!
Wow, that looks like it was tons of fun. Those pictures were fab. I love how Chase has to be carried. Henry is like that too. We call him a princess, but so far that has had no impact on him.
That looks like it was SO much fun! the photography is awesome, you two are quite the team!
Well, thank you for all the high praise and flattery. Truth is Kate deserves most of the credit. She spent most every night this week editing those pictures to give them such a clean professional look. (Not to mention the time she spends just putting the blog together!)
Thanks, Kate, for all the credit, as it turns out, we make a great team.
P.S. Kate's cookie pictures are still at the top of my list.
I was about to comment that Ryan has some great photography skills, then I read Ryan's comment about it. :) You two are a great team! And have some darn cute kids too. Who knew there were so many fun things to do in Sacramento!!
AWESOME pictures Ryan, and yes I think that picture is worthy of istockphoto.
But the picture that really got y wa the carmel apples.. YUM
WOW! Those are AWESOME! You both did excellent jobs! I'm going to have to bring my camera on some of these occasions... I always end up playing instead of taking pics... I love the pictures of the horses and the candy apples, but my fav is the one of Chase on my shoulders! Hello hair disaster!
What the hay! I wasn't the first comment!
I was so excited when I saw this post. I love old Sac! We used to go there on field trips when I was a kid and we still go there once in a while when we are in Sacramento for a visit. Looks like fun!
The pictures look fabulous, what great photography and editing. Doesn't every great photographer require editing of his work to make perfection?
The day looked like alot of fun. Tyler looks like he's taking it all in and loving it.
These pics are fab. I love the one where Tyler is looking down the street. He looks like he's a gunfighter waiting for the opponent to show up. Since I love horses, I love the pics of them! Since I love food, I love the pics of the apples, too -- My question though is "where is the chocolate?" It was a fun, fun, fun day! Thanks for letting us share these wonderful moments with you and your family!
