State Fair - Part I

We headed to the California State Fair this past weekend. I always kind of thought the State Fair was kind of cheesy, lame (white trash). I know that last comment is going to get me into trouble; but, I have to say that I really misjudged the State Fair because I really had a lot of FUN (even though there were a lot of interesting people). I haven't been to too many State Fairs because we always did Disneyland as a family; so, I had relatively low expectations, I was definitely pleasantly surprised.

Tyler and Chase loved walking this little pony all by themselves. They both did it in record time. :)

I must say there were a lot of places to eat junk food. So, I could see why you might like the State Fair, as a kid. Of course, the prices were RIDICULOUS. I can't believe that 3 corn dogs, and 2 sodas cost us $15. AGH!!!!

They really enjoyed petting the animals. Chase and Tyler wanted to milk a cow too (the line was a little long though).

I have about 20 pictures of these two in the Bee ride. I couldn't get them to both look at me at the same time. :)

That looks like so much fun! I really wanted to go, but we were both too tired to... and because of what you mentioned, the price of things! Next year maybe. Are you guys going down for Tanner's baptism?

I'm SO jealous!! I haven't been to the fair and I much older than Tyler and Chase :-) I'll have to go next year while I still feel the draw from the fair food!

Rachel - I hadn't even heard about Tanner's baptism. When is it?

The state fair has always been fun for us. They always have great entertainment and with kids along you get to enjoy it from their perspective which is even better.

The boys look like they are having so much fun at the Fair. At least you were able to "Get in Free" to allay the exorbitant cost of everything else! Even though it wasn't a super hot day, Tyler and Chase look like they're a little hot. I can tell by the pics that they are truly enjoying the time spent with the animals -- and, of course, their parents :)
