My sister-in-law April sent me this video via email. I thought it was important to share on my blog. I know a lot of us our concerned about what will happen if Proposition 8 does not pass. This video really scared me because it shows the effects that Proposition 8 will have on my children and family.
Ryan and I had a chance to go out on walkabouts for the Yes on Proposition 8 campaign. We really had a good experience. The majority of voters that we talked to were in favor of Proposition 8. So, I am hopeful that Proposition 8 will pass in November. However, I think this video is a good wake up call to get out there and do more, so what happened to this family in Massachusetts doesn't happen to our families in California.
Also, David Blankenhorn, a columnist for the LA Times, wrote an article against same-sex marriage. His argument focuses on the "family" aspect of marriage and how important a father and mother are to the children of that marriage. Again, his focus is on the FAMILY not the union of two INDIVIDUALS. I'm glad you got that clip. My old roommate sent it to me and we watched it last night. I was going to send it to you and Shauna. Pretty Scary. We hope it passes.

That's such an awful situation and must be so scary for you with Tyler being school. We'll start to really keep that in our prayers. I won't want my kids dealing with that.
