Christmas Traditions {Candy Advent}

Growing up we had a lot of Fink family Christmas traditions. One of my favorite Christmas traditions, as a kid, was the candy advent calendar my grandma Yeager made for us. I am so happy to continue this tradition with my two boys, big thanks to Grandma Fink for making them for the boys. Anyways, Ty and Chase look forward to their daily piece of candy every night, and I don't have to deal with them asking how many days till Christmas. :) It's a win-win.

Tyler has the green one and Chase has the red one.

A word of caution, if you do these for your kids, just make sure that you put them high enough up the wall, so they can't reach the candy easily. Tyler woke up early one December morning and ate all of the candy he could reach in one sitting. :)

When you get to the bell, it's Christmas!!!!! :)

I really loved this blog about the Candy Advent. I remember how you and your siblings loved this tradition and looked forward to eating one candy a night and it helped to move the long, long days before Christmas along. Loved the pic of the top of the counter that had the poem. Great pics throughout!

Those are really cute. I think I would be the one to get greedy and eat them before the actual day.
