Stuff

OK, the other day when I was packing up all of our stuff. And feeling a little sorry for myself cause I was so exhausted. I found a box from college, it was labeled 1 of 11. I was shocked. I cannot believe that only 6 years ago, I had only 11 boxes of stuff to my name. Every year when BYU got out, I was able to fit all of my belongings in my little '85 BMW and drive home for the summer.

Now, shockingly, Ryan and I have accumulated so much stuff that we filled up a 10 x 20 storage unit and my parents garage. Plus, we have a lawnmower and a couch on loan. How is this possible? We probably had more than 11 boxes just devoted to the kids stuff alone. I have decided that I will not purchase another item I don't need for atleast a year. I AM OVERWHELMED WITH STUFF!!!!!!

It is amazing how quickly we accumulate things. Good luck with your resolution! Kevin would love it if I would do that and really stick to ONLY buying needs, I tend to justify that I need more than I do. Hope the move went well!

Brett made me sell things I didnt use before I could buy more things. Maybe when you start looking at buying again you could do that. It was great to sell old stuff and buy something new, since I LOVE having new things.

How does one buy only needs? I like the idea of selling things you don't use before you buy more things, though it usually ends up that I keep the old things and buy the new things :-)

I have a couch on loan...hmmm, is that the couch in my family room? It Sure looks nice there. Thanks. So how long do I get to keep it? I also have a jumping horse and wagon. Now if I could just capture two cute little boys to play with.....

The stuff you accumulate over the years is amazing! When we moved to rocklin we donated 5 huge wardrobe boxes to the goodwill!! Makes you wonder why you hold on to such silly pointless stuff sometimes!

I must admit that I haven't much to store. Gabe's the "pack rat" in the family and we have lots of "his" boxes stored everywhere! He's cute! :) I tease him about it when he starts organizing closets etc.

You know, you could always try Eric's and my way and just sell everything and start over. It's kind of fun having a completely different type of house.

The thought of moving again "makes reason stare!" Can't imagine all of the "stuff" we have and a garage sale sounds like a great idea!
