Halloweens Past

Ok, I don't exactly know why, but I am really excited about Halloween this year. I ordered Tyler's costume online and it arrived last week. I can't wait till Halloween night when he gets to wear it. I already had Chase's costume. :)

Anyway, last night, I couldn't sleep, so I started looking through old pictures of Halloweens past. It was a lot of fun to see the picture of Ty's first Halloween again. It seems like such a long time ago that he was that little. I am sure you will notice that I recycled a costume that Ty wore. Chase and Ty both got to be firefighters. :) What can I say I loved the costume on Tyler and I am cheap. lol. Anyways, here is the fun little picture show of Halloweens from the not so distant past.

Tyler's first Halloween October 31, 2003. Tyler was a little bear. He was mistaken for a little girl twice. I am sure that he will eventually kill me for sharing that memory. :) I think it was because he had the longest eyelashes ever. I still covet his beautiful lashes. Why is it that boys always seem to be blessed with long lashes? You should see Ryan with mascara on...oops....I am going to pay for that...I wasn't supposed to tell anyone. Oh well, too late, I talked Ryan into putting on mascara once. :) He looked like he had spiders legs for eyelashes. It is ABSOLUTELY insane how long Ryan's lashes are when you paint them black with mascara.

Halloween 2004, Tyler was a cute little firefighter. I don't think he liked his hat much. :) He didn't really understand trick-or-treating in 2004. He did great for the first door but then he just wanted to sit down and eat the candy. He didn't realize that the idea is to go to every house and hoard as much candy as you possibly can, then you spend a year eating it all(that's what I remember doing anyway).

I was 7 mos. pregnant with Chase for Halloween 2005. Tyler was a cowboy. He was so adorable that while we were out trick-or-treating, he was asked by one of the trick or treater's parents if she could take his picture. :)

Chase's first Halloween was October 31, 2006. He was a frog and Tyler was a monkey. Tyler had several other friends(Hunter, Ellie, and Reese) that all went as monkeys too. We sure do miss them.

Halloween 2007, Tyler was Batman and Chase was a firefighter. :) In 2007, Tyler definitely had Halloween figured out. He raced from car to car at the Redding Stake trunk or treat. He filled his pumpkin completely to the rim. Chase was like Tyler at the same age and just wanted to eat the first piece of candy he received. :)

He actually looks like a mini firefighter in this picture. He is even directing traffic. :)

Tyler and the cheese ball smile we all LOVE!!!! :)

Chase doing his impression of Tyler's smile. HAHAHA.

Tyler getting down to the business of sorting through the healthy stuff(usually from dentists) to get to the good stuff. :)

I think we gave him a sour patch kid....

I am soooooo EXCITED for Halloween!!! This weekend we are heading to Apple Tree Hill to get pumpkins hopefully. I will be sure to post pictures. I LOVE Fall!!!!!

Very, very cute pictures and so fun to look at. The last one with Chase eating something sour was really funny. Looking forward to Halloween as well this year. Probably should try to track down some old Halloween pics of you kids for fun to share :)

HILARIOUS!! Your boys are the cutest kids on the planet (how can that be! I laughed out loud at Tyler's cheesy grin, Chase's imitation of the Tyler grin and the "oooo that's sour" expression on Chaser's face. I'm SO excited to see their costumes this year! Why is it so fun to dress up? If I weren't a giant I would go dress up and go trick-or-treating!

P.S. Just noticed the handicapped sign near the word verification... is that new and how does that work?

Jenna - your comments about the word verification are hilarious. I will have to test the handicap symbol and see what it does. :)

So the handicap sign is supposed to make you feel handicapped when you mess up? Rude.

Oh, the monkey costume makes me miss my girls! Hillary has the cutest pic of the three of them all dressed alike and Reese screaming her brains out in protest.

And have you never pressed the handicap button? It FREAKS me out! The one at Ticketmaster really sounds like minions of Satan... they always talk me out of spending money.

Thanks Sarah - I can honestly say I never even noticed the handicap sign before. And I had my sound muted when I tried to figure it out after Jenna's comment. hahahaha :)
