Baking Gingerbread Houses with Grandma Jackson

Tyler and Chase really enjoyed baking gingerbread houses with their Grandma Jackson. Chase kept adding flour and Grandma soon lost track. :)

However, the boys favorite part of baking had to be the flour fight that ensued after the mixing was done. We don't know who started the fight but Tyler is blaming Grandma. :)

Tyler couldn't stop giggling...

What a good sport!!!!

In the end, the gingerbread dough turned out ok eventhough Chase added a little extra flour. :)

looks like fun! How did the houses turn out? I wanna see a finished product. Also, did you use a tripod with these pics? I need tips for indoor photos. I'll be calling soon I'm sure!

Great shots Kate. With all the flour used (with the gingerbread house and the flour fight) I am amazed there was any left in the house!

It was a lot of fun...I've been waiting and waiting for the grandkids to come over just so we could make the gingerbreadhouse, of course the flour fight was an afterthought. Just to expound on the story, I put flour and Tyler's stomach, which he wasn't aware of. When he put his shirt down I did it again, hoping to get a reaction, but what I got was a tilt of the head and a mischievous grin from Chase, who immediately placed his hand in the flour and smacked me on the shoulder, and thus the fight began.

Thanks for posting the memories, I will steal some of the pictures. Love ya'

Wow, Kate, looks like too much fun! The gingerbread house looks fantastic and the food looks yummy. I don't think Shauna needs any help from me! What a great idea to make a gingerbread house how creative and great shots, Kate. You're getting so good with your shots, that everyone will be trying to get tips from you -- me too, now that I've got a "cool" camera!

That looks like SO much fun! I love food fights and flour is SO much fun! The best food fight is with flour and then water! So much fun to clean up! I love gingerbread houses! I've got to make one next year... don't know if I'm ambitious enough to bake my own house though! Way to go Shauna! How gorgeous is she even with flour all over her face!
